AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP OTHERS. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is looking for volunteers to help serve the poor. The Society is a worldwide Catholic charitable organization dedicated to helping people who are in great need of financial or other types of aid. This assistance sometimes pays for food, lodging, utilities, transportation, car repair, medical, and other miscellaneous expenses. At other times, it may include transportation to a doctor's appointment, counseling on how to develop a budget, job resumé preparation, and recommendations on where to look for a job. This is a very rewarding ministry where you can truly make a difference! If you are interested and would like more information, please contact Jim Birmingham at 296-6856 for the St. Patrick Chapter and Immaculate Conception Office at 209-267-5602 for the Plymouth Chapter (soon to be Plymouth/Sutter Creek)
