AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP OTHERS. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is looking for volunteers to help serve the poor.  The Society is a worldwide Catholic charitable organization dedicated to helping people who are in great need of financial or other types of aid.  This assistance sometimes pays for food, lodging, utilities, transportation, car repair, medical, and other miscellaneous expenses.  At other times, it may include transportation to a doctor's appointment, counseling on how to develop a budget, job resumé preparation, and recommendations on where to look for a job.  This is a very rewarding ministry where you can truly make a difference! If you are interested and would like more information, please contact Jim Birmingham at 296-6856 for the St. Patrick Chapter and Immaculate Conception Office at 209-267-5602 for the Plymouth Chapter (soon to be Plymouth/Sutter Creek)

NEW HOUSING MINISTRY:  SOS (SAVE OUR SHELTER).  St. Patrick Parish has a new ministry called SOS to assist parishioners who are struggling with high mortgage payments and who may be in danger of losing their homes as a result.  For more information, call Joe Lang at 296-3154.

THE INTERFAITH FOOD BANK

SLEEPING BAG DRIVE.

The St. Vincent de Paul Society and the St. Patrick High School Youth Group are teaming up to conduct a sleeping bag drive.  Please consider donating a new or gently used and clean sleeping bag.  The goal is to collect 15-20 sleeping bags to have at the church office to hand out as needed.  You may bring your donated bag to any of the churches when you attend Mass or drop it off at the office.

“BREAKING BREAD WITH FRIENDS” is a home grown interfaith effort to feed the hungry and homeless by providing a breakfast
and bag lunch to those in need every Saturday morning at the Jackson United Methodist Church. Volunteers interested in
learning more should contact Joe Lang at 296-3154, or email Marci Russell at mrussell@stpatparish.orge-mail for Breaking bread information
